Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Konbowei Benson has attributed the success he achieved as Speaker to the positive input of the former Clerk of the House, Mr. Aaron Timiye and staff of the Assembly.
Rt.Hon. Benson stated this during the end of year Thanksgiving/Send-forth of the retired former Clerk, Mr. Aaron Timiye organized by the Christian Legislators’ Fellowship International, Bayelsa State Chapter at the Assembly Complex, Yenagoa.

In their separate speeches, the acting Clerk Mr. Owudogu Kozigena Edward and deputy Clerk, Mr Kent Adogu described the out-gone clerk as a man of humility, dedication and one who was always accessible, and prayed God to bless him in his future endeavours.
In his response, the out- gone Clerk, Mr. Timiye Aaron thanked the Speaker and staff for their support and co-operation during his reign as Clerk.
Earlier, a clergyman, Pastor Daddy-Ken Bitere in his message entitled “ Honour, Work and Gratitude” urged Christians and Workers to know that everywhere you see people working, you will see improvement noting that work results in honour.
He said gratitude comes naturally when you have worked and you have been honoured stating that work is the meeting point for honour and gratitude.
The Clergy-man cautioned that service delivery is key to moving society forward, and that service is not slavery ; service is responsibility.
Pastor Bitere stated that work comes with gratitude, honour and continuity stressing that service should be paramount in whatever thing they do in life.
